In an era where interiors are treated as consumables, Horreds furniture offers a different narrative. Carefully selected, naturally worn, reupholstered, and passed on—they continue their journey. This has always been the case for us. For those working with reuse, refurnishing, and upholstery, Horreds represents an enduring presence in the secondary market.
Uncompromising in every stitch
We call it Rebel Quality. A reflection of our uncompromising stance on craftsmanship and design. Because we care – about the details, the surfaces, the seams, the intersection of materials. And because our furniture is built to endure. Not just a working day, but decades of use, change, and renewal.
It all started with wood. With hands trained to see quality in the grain, in the angles, in how it feels against the palm. Already in 1936, our founder Sven understood that furniture isn’t just meant to be used – it’s meant to live. That philosophy runs through everything we do to this day. And it’s one reason why Horreds furniture holds such strong second-hand value.
Design that lives on
Architectural form. Timeless construction. Local production in our own factory in Horred. This is where the foundation is laid for furniture that doesn’t need replacing – just adapting. For us, circularity isn’t a trend. It’s a given. And a quiet proof of quality.
If you ever grow tired of your furniture, it’s reassuring to know it will find new life – and value – somewhere else.
Profitability in layers
Our production is certified and close by. We use green electricity from hydropower plants within a ten-kilometre radius. Wood waste from the factory heats much of our local community. But above all: our furniture doesn’t go to waste. It continues to serve – in new spaces, with new users.
That’s how we see design profitability. As something that gives back.
Payback Design and long-term trends
We don’t follow seasons, because our industry moves in long arcs. We don’t release new designs for the sake of it, but when needs are clear and the design is grounded.
We offer several “new” design pieces that lead the way – in long-term thinking and in creating value-driven work environments:
Nomono Compact – a space-efficient, focus-oriented workstation for flexible workspaces. An award-winning design that has already become a sought-after classic.
Parant shelving system – a modular, architectural storage solution. Can be built around corners and combined with biophilic elements.
Prime meeting chair – particularly in monochrome finishes, it brings a calm sense of hospitality to the workplace. Built to stay comfortable – and beautiful – for years to come.
VX 8 work desk – designed for functionality, available in monochrome finishes. This premium sit-stand base is slim and adaptable to individual needs.
Log modular sofa – soft yet structured, flexible, and distinctly Nordic. Modules can be separated and used as individual lounge chairs, contributing to a versatile and creative meeting space.
Personal Storage system – build your tailored solution using our configuration program. Create functional dividers, add seating areas and biophilic shelves.
All with a common purpose: to work beautifully today – and earn their place tomorrow.
